a new standard in youth football

Seasonal Player Safety Membership

"Flag Football the fastest growing sport in the country."

Our kids should not only have a level playing field, but a safe one, too. The Gridiron Seasonal Player Safety Membership is a first-of-its-kind program ensuring competition integrity and player safety in flag and 7v7 league and tournament play.

This will be required for all Gridiron athletes starting this spring.

Membership includes:

Age/Grade Verification

Our age and grade verification program levels the playing field for every athlete in our program, requiring players to prove eligibility for their team, league or tournament. Have peace of mind, knowing every player on Game Day has been hand-verified by our team.

Supplemental Insurance

Like any good safety, we’ve got your back. The Gridiron Seasonal Player Safety Membership includes supplemental insurance for registered athletes injured in Gridiron Football activities (up to $25,000). So your kid can get back on the path towards Super Bowl glory.

Why is this membership required?

We want to create a safe and level playing field for every athlete in our program– from recreational to competitive, from flag to flex, and from 3 years old through high school. This first-of-its-kind program ensures competition integrity and player safety through (1) age/grade verification and (2) supplemental player insurance.

How does Gridiron verify athlete documents?

Gridiron has a team of analysts who carefully review the documents and information you submit.

If there are any issues or concerns with the documentation that has been submitted for verification, a Gridiron specialist will reach out to request additional/supplemental documentation. If a document is determined to be fraudulent, the responsible party will be subject to being banned or suspended.

Until proper documentation is received the player will remain ineligible to participate in league activities

Are the documents uploaded to Gridiron secure?

We take every possible measure to ensure all of your data is 100% secure. Any uploaded document, whether a birth certificate or report card, will be deleted at the conclusion of the season. The security and safety of our athletes is our top priority, and we take every measure possible to assure that.

How long does this membership last?

The Gridiron Seasonal Player Safety Membership will need to be renewed every season. But don’t worry, it’s just a quick and easy step in the registration process!

How do I get my child age/grade-verified with Gridiron?

Already registered for spring? Just login to your local league account (where you registered). Click the pencil beside your kid's name, scroll down until you see the Report Card/Birth Certificate section and click the plus sign. Add a file, click "upload document" and save changes. Make sure it’s submitted and verified at least three weeks before the season starts or your kid will be ineligible to play.

Not yet registered? The registration form will prompt you to upload a birth certificate or report card, depending on your team, but you can also upload it later (see our step-by-step instructions above). Just make sure it’s submitted and verified at least three weeks before the season starts or your kid will be ineligible to play.

What documents can be used for age/grade verification?

For age verification, we accept a birth certificate, state ID or passport. If you don't have access to these documents, contact the vital records office in the state where your son or daughter was born to get a copy of their birth certificate. Follow the instructions for requesting copies and paying fees. If you need a copy fast, ask about expedited service or shipping when you place your order.

For grade verification, we will accept a report card stating the year, school and grade.

How do I know when my child is age/grade-verified?

Login to your local league account and select your son or daughter's profile. If they've been successfully verified, it will say "Verified". If verification's still pending, it will only show the document that's been uploaded but nothing else.

What is included in supplemental insurance?

This insurance program provides accident medical benefits to registered athletes who are injured while participating in Gridiron Football activities. If an accidental bodily injury requires medical care and treatment, the policy will pay the reasonable and customary medical charges of medically necessary medical services up to $25,000.

The accident medical coverage is secondary / excess to any other available medical or health insurance available to the injured person.
